Doch diese sogenannte Theodizeefrage, die den Tun-Ergehen-Zusammenhang aufgreift, soll nicht vollständig unbeantwortet bleiben. Denn ein Buch der Bibel greift dieses Thema sehr explizit auf: Das Buch des Ijob, welches in der Bibel unter den Büchern der Lehrweisheit zu finden ist. Im Folgenden soll die Bibelstelle Ijob 38,1-42,9 exegetisch ausgelegt werden. In diesem Zusammenhang soll herausgefunden werden, worin die Antwort auf die Leidfrage zu sehen ist. Es soll aufgezeigt werden, welche Antwort Gott Ijob auf dessen Klagen gibt, worin Ijob selbst die Antwort sieht und wie der Abschnitt Die Antwort Gottes (Ijob 38,1-41,26) auf Ijob wirkt. Dabei wird explizit auf die Reden Gottes, die Antworten Ijobs und auf dessen Rechtfertigung eingegangen, indem sie unter anderem hinsichtlich ihrer stilistischen Besonderheiten untersucht und exegetisch ausgelegt werden. Gibt es rhetorische Stilfiguren, welche die Aussagen Gottes besonders bekräftigen wollen? Des Weiteren fragt sich: Ist das Buch Ijob als biblische Klärung der Theodizeefrage zu verstehen? Welche Bedeutung kann das Buch mit seinem Inhalt für uns einnehmen? Wie kann ein Mensch sein Leiden verstehen? Es soll versucht werden, diese Fragen mit Hilfe einer musikalischen Interpretation in Ansätzen zu beantworten.
