Die Kommunikation mit Investoren und Multiplikatoren respektive die Kapitalmarktkommunikation hat daher in den letzten Jahren immer mehr an Bedeutung gewonnen.

In der vorliegenden Arbeit soll nun geklärt werden, was unternehmerische Investor Relations Arbeit beinhaltet, was sie zu leisten vermag, wie sie professionell geplant und ausgeführt werden kann und welche Problemfelder zu erkennen sind. Dazu wird im ersten Teil der Ausführungen der theoretische Hintergrund der Investor Relations thematisiert. So soll die historische Betrachtung und die Begriffsbestimmung dabei helfen, die Investor Relations Aufgaben richtig einzuordnen und vor allem von der Public Relations Arbeit abzugrenzen. Dann sollen Aufgaben und Ziele näher betrachtet und die zu ihrer Erreichung notwendigen Instrumente und Methoden kurz erläutert werden. Am Ende dieses Teils soll noch einmal auf die Investor Relations Konzeption eingegangen und auf mögliche Problemfelder hingewiesen werden.

Der zweite Teil widmet sich dann speziell der Kapitalmarktkommunikation der Deutschen Telekom AG, die vor allem in den letzten Monaten mit großen Problemen auf dem Kapitalmarkt zu kämpfen hatte. Eine gute Investor Relations Arbeit kann hier vor allem dabei helfen, das geschädigte Image und das verlorene Vertrauen der Investoren in das Unternehmen wieder aufzubauen und zu stärken. Zuerst wird das Unternehmen und dessen Strategie kurz vorgestellt, um dann die Investor Relations Abteilung und ihre Aufgaben näher zu beleuchten. Danach soll dann vor allem auf die Investor Relations Strategie, auf Methoden und Instrumente ausführlicher eingegangen werden.

Abschließend soll noch einmal kurz bewertet werden, in wieweit die Deutsche Telekom AG die theoretisch festgestellten Grundlagen einer professionellen Investor Relations Arbeit berücksichtigt und umsetzen kann.
